Oscar the Owl is a high quality polished tagua nut Owl hand carved in Ecuador. Oscar comes in a small paja toquilla box (paja toquilla is from a palm tree which grows in Ecuador and is used to make the famous Panama Hat).
Oscar is made from the Tagua seed, a product of the Tagua Palm. The seeds highly resemble ivory and are known as "vegetable ivory". Oscar the Owl is hand carved by our artisans in Ecuador.
